Rhys astounds us
with his lack of fear. He is constantly running too fast,
jumping from heights that frighten us and climbing too high for our
comfort. And he has the marks to prove it. I think we
should buy stock in Neosporin. Now.
His vocabulary
expanded exponentially over the summer and he's speaking in full
sentences now. He learned how to do a "frog face" from the
master herself - cousin Claire-Claire and he learned how to make a
"yucky" face over the summer when his beloved mommy's milk went bad
(that nasty anti-nail-biting potion works wonders!)
He is looking
forward to the day that Roxy goes to school so that he can have a
little bit of undivided attention!
About his
name: the name Rhys has a couple of different meanings "a stream",
"energetic" and "enthusiastic", depending on where you look it up.
One thing all the name books agree on is that it is Welsh. And
as for the pronunciation, it rhymes with Greece, peace and niece.
We know we could have spelled it "Reece" but how cool is it to have
a name with no vowels?! Trevor was Mark's father who we dearly
miss and think of often. Mark's middle name is also Trevor.
