SINGAPORE ROARS

Singapore is an amazing place for such a small country. It's a small island at the southern tip of the southern Malay peninsula with a total area of about 646 sq-km. If the traffic is in your favor you can just about drive anywhere in the country in about 20 minutes.

Singapore has a reputation of being sterile compared to other Asian countries because of its strict rules for just about everything - no bubble gum allowed - no walking around naked in your own apartment - no spitting - and the list goes on. While we admit that these guys are a bit anal retentive, it certainly makes for a nice place to live. Things get done here and they get done on time or early, a nice change from China. That is why Singapore has been labeled by the expat community as 'Asia for Beginners' or 'Asia Light'.
